When it comes to tipping, North Carolinians are above average

North Carolinians are above-average tippers compared to other U.S. states, according to a new report compiled by Time via transaction information from payment processor Square (NYSE: SQ). North Carolina ranked 17th nationally when it came to adding gratuities to a bill, averaging 16.7% per tip. Hawaiians give the least, the report found, tipping only 14.8% on average.
