In local news: Carowinds yesterday revealed that the next phase of its years-long makeover will focus on its kids' area, known as Planet Snoopy. That section of the park will be renamed as Camp Snoopy, and it will get six new attractions for next year as well as "a more natural looking midway that celebrates the beauty of the Carolina wilderness," the theme park said in a news release.
