Duke Energy prepares for Hurricane Michael in Florida and the Carolinas

Duke Energy Corp. has 7,000 emergency workers staged in Florida in preparation for Hurricane Michael, which could cause power failures for as many as 200,000 of its 1.8 million Duke Energy Florida customers. And Duke (NYSE:DUK) is warning Carolinas customers that there could be outages caused by the fast-moving hurricane as its speeds north following landfall in Florida today.
