Infosys promised 2,000 jobs for North Carolina; now the CEO is gone

Amid internal turmoil, the CEO of Infosys has resigned – less than two months after the Indian IT firm pledged to expand in Wake County, adding 2,000 jobs. Criticism from the company’s founders directed toward CEO Vishal Sikka and the board of directors have centered around a shift in new IT product offerings, Sikka’s salary and staff severance pay, and growing criticism of the H1-B visa program in the U.S., the BBC reports.
