​Court tells FAA to review size and spacing of airline seats

As airline seats keep getting smaller and spaces more cramped, a U.S. court of appeals panel has directed the Federal Aviation Administration to investigate regulating what one of panel’s judges called “the case of the incredible shrinking airline seat.” According to the court’s decision, the FAA previously denied a request from passenger advocacy group Flyers Rights to consider writing rules regulating the seat width and seat pitch, which is the distance between a point on one seat and…
