
A Safelite Glass Corp. plant that employs 210 people in Enfield will close by Oct. 10, the Ohio-based company confirmed this week. Enfield is a small town in Halifax County, which is northeast of Raleigh, and was founded in 1740. The Safelight Glass facility makes about a million replacement windshields a year.
