Once MetLife sheds U.S. retail business, the Charlotte-based company will have a new name

MetLife is rebranding its U.S. retail business after it separates from the company. The new stand-alone company will be called Brighthouse Financial. MetLife Inc. (NYSE: MET) announced it was planning to separate a big portion of its U.S. retail business in January for regulatory reasons.
