It’s official: Common Market sets closing date for South End

The Common Market will close its South End location at 1515 S. Tryon St. on July 30. The deli, general store and gathering spot continues to look for a new home, says Chuck Barger, who co-owns the venture with Blake Barnes. “Talks are continuing for new locations in South End and throughout the region,” Barger said via email Wednesday. He hopes to have more to announce by the beginning of July. The Common Market has been looking for a new home since last year when it was bought out of its lease.…
