French café chain to soon begin work on first of several planned Charlotte locations

Dallas-based La Madeleine, a French-inspired bakery café franchise, plans to aggressively expand into North Carolina including several locations in Charlotte. Kyle Hakim, vice president of R. Hakim Corp. and principal owner behind expanding La Madeleine Country French Café to the Charlotte area, said he expects the first spot here to open by late fall.
