Former Charlotte mayor Anthony Foxx joins Martin Marietta Materials board

Raleigh-based Martin Marietta Materials has added more heft to its board of directors with the appointment of Anthony Foxx. Foxx, currently the chief policy officer at Lyft (NASDAQ: LYFT) and an adviser to its president and CEO, served as the U.S. Secretary of Transportation from 2013-2017. He also served as the mayor of Charlotte from 2009-2013.
