Local Goodwill COO named to lead Triad chapter as chief executive

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina Inc. has found its next leader, and she comes from Charlotte. Goodwill's board of directors announced Monday that Barbara Maida-Stolle has been named as president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2021. She will replace current CEO Art Gibel, who in June announced his retirement after 15 years at the helm. Maida-Stolle comes from within the Goodwill family.
