Duke Energy Renewables, Kroger partner on California solar project

REC Solar, a subsidiary of Duke Energy Renewables, has developed a 1-megawatt rooftop solar installation for the Kroger Co. The installation is at a 300,000-square-foot bakery facility serving two Kroger subsidiaries in California.  The installation on the La Habra Bakery for Ralphs and Food 4 Less includes nearly 3,000 solar panels and can produce more than 2 gigawatt-hours of power a year.
