Centene Corp., the $35 billion managed-care company that appears poised to build a technology campus measuring up to 1 million square feet in Charlotte, likes to bill itself as “a technology company that happens to do healthcare.” That would make the 3,000-person tech operation that Centene is expected to announce for the University area on Wednesday morning a big deal, says a Piper Sandler analyst.
