Step aside, Santa — Carowinds has its own spin on the Christmas season. WinterFest at Carowinds opened for its third season on Sunday. The holiday attraction includes a nightly parade with floats designed by Kern Studios. That New Orleans-based company also makes Mardi Gras floats.
