New Piedmont Natural Gas proposal could lead to lower bill for Carolinas customers

Piedmont Natural Gas has proposed cutting the benchmark price charged to its Carolinas customers for their natural gas usage by 50 cents per dekatherm. In North Carolina, that cut would more than offset a 3.1% general rate hike Piedmont is currently seeking from the N.C.
