BB&T Corp. (NYSE: BBT) and SunTrust Banks Inc. (NYSE: STI) reported Thursday they are making good progress on their merger to create Truist, which will be headquartered in Charlotte. The banks say they have named approximately 75% of the leadership roles for the Truist organization, and 8,000 employees have accepted Truist positions.
