State approves $3.3M incentive for furniture maker's 384-job expansion

Plastic furniture manufacturer Polywood LLC has picked Person County over Indiana, South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia for a 384-job campus. Salaries will average more than $43,300. In exchange for its commitment to bring to Roxboro a full manufacturing and distribution center for outdoor furniture, the state has approved Polywood for up to $3.3 million in incentives spread over 12 years, with the community college system planning to pony up training for the company.
