Sonic Automotive Inc. has opened its first EchoPark used-car franchise in the Carolinas on Independence Boulevard in Charlotte. Sonic (NYSE: SAH) started the non-haggle EchoPark franchise, meant to compete with the CarMax used-car brand, in 2014. The rollout in the Carolinas has been slower than initially expected.
