How a space remake in uptown Charlotte office tower energized a landmark

At the crossroads of Charlotte’s uptown submarket, TIER REIT invested $25 million to bring a contemporary landmark up to date with a full-scale redesign of its street-level presence. Bank of America Plaza was once the NCNB Plaza, and for 13 years in the 1970s and 1980s, it was the tallest building in North Carolina.
