Duke Energy critics report high arsenic levels near flooding breach at Sutton plant

The Waterkeeper Alliance has again reported water samples taken from floodwaters at a Duke Energy Progress power plant that show arsenic and heavy metals at alarmingly high levels. This time, the environmental organization says it has a water sample taken Sept. 21 from the Cape Fear River, where floods from Hurricane Florence breached the Sutton Lake dam, that showed arsenic at 710 micrograms per liter.
