In local news: For renters in a number of major U.S. metros, a recent report from Zillow (NASDAQ: Z) holds good news: Rent prices declined in September for the first time in six years. The median rent nationally was $1,440 in September, down 0.2% from a year earlier. Portland, Oregon, and Seattle led the decline in rental rates, with prices falling 2.7% and 2.2% over the year, respectively. But the Queen City bucked that trend, at least according to this report, with rents remaining flat in September…
