Charlotte-based Atrium Health is moving forward with plans to open a new hospital in western Union County. Atrium filed the application Monday for a certificate of need to build a 150,000-square-foot facility, dubbed Atrium Health Union West, on the corner of U.S. Highway 74 and Stallings Road in Stallings.
