
Several rezoning petitions were given the green light Monday evening, but two projects were deferred to a later meeting. First proposed in 2015, a redevelopment of the Melrose Place apartments in Madison Park was approved unanimously by Charlotte City Council. The project calls for up to 265 apartments and eight townhouse-style units on a 2.9-acre site near the intersection of Park and Woodlawn roads.
