
North Carolina’s layoff-free streak is over, as a global manufacturer has filed notice with the state that it’s laying off employees in Burlington. Three months after announcing it would be acquiring the remaining shares of Sapa, Norway’s Norsk Hydro is shutting down a Burlington conduit line.
