Hurricanes Harvey and Irma knocked an estimated 4 to 7 cents per share off Sonic Automotive Inc.’s third-quarter earnings, executives said. And it showed in adjusted earnings. Discounting one-time gains and losses, Sonic made $17.4 million, or 40 cents per diluted share, in the most recent quarter.
