The first Charlotte hotel by Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants now has an opening date. Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel, at the corner of Third and Church streets in uptown, will open Wednesday, Nov. 1. In addition to standard rooms, the 18-story, 217-room hotel includes 14 suites and a 1,300-square-foot presidential suite. The hotel is immediately adjacent to Romare Bearden Park in Third Ward.
