The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority hopes to make the most of the PGA Championship coming to Quail Hollow next week. Among other things, the tourism agency’s staffers will entertain meeting planners who might consider putting a convention here, they will pitch feature story ideas to some of the 1,000 media members covering the tournament and they’ll use social media and other tools to steer visiting golf fans to various attractions and points of interest.
