Duke Energy Corp. says it made $689 million, or 98 cents per diluted share, in the second quarter on a little more than $5.1 billion in revenue. That bested the $509 million, or 74 cents per share Duke (NYSE:DUK) reported for the quarter in 2016 when revenue totaled $almost $4.7 billion.
