Amazon is planning an $85 million, 1-million-square foot distribution center that will employ 600 in Kannapolis. Kannapolis City Council approved a $562,275 incentive grant on Monday evening for the structure which will be developed by an Atlanta company off N.C. Highway 73 and Kannapolis Parkway.
