
Urban pioneer and banking and higher education leader Dennis Rash died on Tuesday of Parkinson’s disease at age 77. Rash, who was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine for distinguished service in 2001, was a Morehead Scholar at UNC Chapel Hill and earned his law degree from the University of Virginia.
