The town of Matthews is on track for its first brewery. The plan is to start beer production at 213 N. Trade St. in downtown Matthews within the next year. But before those operations begin, owner Rob Jacik has his focus on opening the taproom and wine bar section of the establishment, located at the same address, by Labor Day.
