Local banks collect 400,000 pounds of food for Second Harvest Food Bank

Employees from SunTrust (NYSE:STI), Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC), Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) and Fifth Third Bank (NASDAQ:FITB) gathered today to find out how much food their banks collected for the Second Harvest Food Bank. The total: 403,426 pounds. This is the ninth year Second Harvest Food Bank has hosted its Bank-2-Bank food and funds drive. Much of the food will go to feeding hungry kids this summer.
