Rite Aid Corp. is laying off 270 employees at a Charlotte distribution center this spring as it moves to consolidate operations at a new South Carolina facility. The retail pharmacy announced in January 2015 that it would shutter the center at 1776 Statesville Ave. in north Charlotte and replace it with a consolidated, $90 million facility in Spartanburg, S.C.
