South End’s Atherton Mill will add a contemporary clothing retailer to its roster this fall. Columbia, S.C., developer Edens says it has signed a deal with Free People — a retailer under the Urban Outfitters parent brand — for a 5,600-square-foot store. It is slated to open this fall. This location will be the first for Free People in the Charlotte market. It will be located near Anthropologie in the historic mill building.
