Is Duke Energy preparing to appeal N.C.’s $6.8M fine in the Dan River spill?

Watch this space. It appears likely that next week Duke Energy will appeal the $6.8 million environmental fine North Carolina imposed last month in the February 2014 spill of up to 39,000 tons of coal ash in to the Dan River. Duke has been relatively reserved in public comments about the fine. First reaction When the N.C.
