Duke Energy’s job cuts in a recent cost-savings initiative involved 900 people, the vast majority of them in the Carolinas, according to a regulatory filing made by Duke. The total would be 3.1% of Duke’s 29,188 head count at the end of 2015. While some of the people involved left their jobs by the end of the year, most of the departures are taking place over the first few months, Duke says.
